MIDI Memos is built to stay out of your way — and out of your data. The short version: your recordings live on your device, and we don’t collect anything about you.

What we collect

Nothing. MIDI Memos has no account system, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and no advertising. We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information.

Your recordings

The MIDI takes you record are stored locally on your device. They are never uploaded to us or to any third party. A recording only leaves your device if you choose to share it — for example, sending a .mid file to another app via the iOS share sheet. At that point it’s handled by the app or service you send it to, under their terms.

MIDI & microphone access

The app may request access to MIDI devices (including Bluetooth MIDI) so you can record from a connected keyboard. This access is used solely to capture the notes you play. MIDI Memos records MIDI only — it does not record audio from your microphone.

Children

MIDI Memos does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
